Kent-Moore J-1619 Propeller Shaft Bearing Puller
The intermediate propeller shaft support bearing is sealed and permanently lubricated, therefore the inner race is inaccessible. The bearing is also equipped with a dust shield which cannot be removed until the bearing is free of the shaft. This tool grips the bearing around the circumference of the outer race and has enough area to prevent the bearing from misaligning with the shaft. The steady pressure of the puller screw prevents damage to the bearing during removal. Weight 5 lbs.
Another Application: Transmission Mainshaft Bearing Puller
This tool, originally designed to remove the Propeller Shaft Bearing in 1941-46 Chevrolet 3/4 and 1 1/2 Ton Trucks, can be used also to remove the Transmission Mainshaft Bearing in 1948 and later 1 1/2 Ton, 2-Ton, and COE Trucks, and 1/2, 3/4, and 1 Ton Trucks with 4-Speed Transmissions. The tool quickly and easily removes the Mainshaft Rear Bearing from the transmission mainshaft. To use, position the jaws of the puller under the bearing, push the tapered spreader sleeve down to secure the jaws, then turn the center screw against the end of the mainshaft to remove the bearing easily from the shaft.
